Sales Strategy Manager

Department:

Location:

Wetherby

Job Description

EPH Creative is a truly unique business, as are our products, services and people. Our vision is to be the UKs leading partner for professional event design décor, through our diverse event rental ranges and bespoke build services.
We pride ourselves in producing real-world moments of WOW, crafting magical experiences that spread joy and leave lasting impressions. After 20 successful years we continue to transform the creative and themed events industry. With high profile national and international brands amongst our key clients, we consistently deliver exceptional quality in a way that’s both innovative and fun.
Working with us is a one-of-a-kind experience. We value our vibrant culture and carefully select individuals who share our passion and pride for making every event extraordinary. It’s an inspiring place to work where every day is different, with the opportunity to deliver something truly special.
To deliver the next stage in our growth, we are on the lookout for a highly accomplished Sales & Commercial Manager to join our senior leadership team.
Working closely alongside our Directors, you will develop and take ownership of the next stage of our growth and development strategy, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to lead our Sales, Commercial and Enquiries teams to success.
As an experienced business leader you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our sales and commercial strategies. Alongside your strong organisational vision, you should be passionate and most importantly caring – about our team, our customers, brand and reputation. You should also have an appreciation for the fluctuating and creative nature of our industry, as well as non-traditional sales environments.
To be successful in the role, you’ll have the ability to operate at a senior level and be a strong people manager. Given the seniority of the role, you will be influential in developing and delivering the next stage of our growth, and so you must have experience of creating and implementing effective strategies.
With a team of up to 30 people (with direct and indirect reports) across two locations (Wetherby & London), experience of engaging, leading and mentoring a diverse team is essential as is having a ‘one team’ mentality and positive attitude when faced with inevitable industry expected tight deadlines.
A highly attuned commercial awareness with a track history of prospecting, and proactive lead generation skills is key, as is previous experience of proven sales and business growth.
We need someone with an analytical mindset and ability to interpret, understand, and make decisions using data and trends, as well as a creative thinker who can support the team with pragmatic solutions to problems.
If you have worked in a creative industry before this will be advantageous, but having an appreciation and enthusiasm for what we do is vital.
What will the recruitment process look like?
We are accepting all applications via the Careers page on our website. Please supply your CV and a covering letter explaining why you feel that you would be a good fit for the role along with any other supporting documentation.
Your application will be assessed and if successful you will undertake a short ‘getting to know you’ call with one of our HR team.
If you are then selected to move forward, we will invite you to our unique offices in Wetherby for a tour of the facilities, meeting some key personnel and a structured interview with our MD & HR Manager.
The final part of the selection process will entail a presentation to our board of directors detailing your intentions for the first 3-6 months commencement in the role. You may also informally meet some of the sub-department managers where schedules allow.

Does this sound exciting to you? Are you up for a challenge in a genuinely unique role?
Then we’d love to hear from you.
