The Role

As a result of continual company expansion we’re looking to develop our HR Department, with an exciting opportunity available for a hands-on HR Professional ready for their next career challenge. We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to operate at an operational and strategic level across our dynamic and ever-growing creative organisation. Reporting to the Directors the role will head up our HR Department and take full ownership of the employee life-cycle, and team engagement across all locations & departments.
You’ll be a hands-on HR Generalist able to oversee all areas of HR and provide support to the Senior Management Team. This is a new Head of Department Position within the company, reflecting the pace at which our organisation has grown in recent years. This role is a genuine opportunity to lead and shape the people development of the Company, with the support of the senior management team and Directors.

Responsibilities

Day to Day you’ll manage all HR operations and administration, liaising between several departments across the company, acting as main point of contact and support for HR issues and questions.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring full compliance with UK employment laws and regulations, overseeing the administration of all HR records accurately, ensuring the HR department is compliant at all times. You’ll be responsible for preparation and issue of all HR-related documentation.
You’ll oversee our Company recruitment strategy and processes, working with Department Heads to refine Job Adverts and understand person requirements. You’ll oversee job boards, the screening of applicants and interview. We hire carefully, and look for people who embody our ethos and enjoy our work culture – you’ll have strong people-skills and passion for placing people in the right role.
You will oversee the employee onboarding process ensuring an efficient experience for all new team members. You’ll assist Line Managers in developing objectives in induction for all new starters and set expectations for probationary reviews. Also, you’ll have a personal engagement with all new starters to ensure a consistent approach.
You’ll support departments/managers – providing Payroll with accurate information on a weekly basis.
You will establish and implement full suite of HR policies and procedures and ensure they are applied consistently, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. These will require continuous monitoring and regular review, implementing and managing changes as required.
You will re-develop probation and annual performance review procedures, and assist department managers in developing inductions plans and training plans.
You will be an advocate for employee wellness, and take overall responsibility for driving initiatives centred around employee experience.
You’ll work strategically within the business to manage existing and establish new HR processes.

Qualifications & Experience
• Experience of being in a Senior HR position for at least 3-5 Years
• Line-management Experience – you’ll head up a small HR team
• Ideally CIPD qualified or a degree or master’s degree in HR
• Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations

Hours of work

Full Time ( Part Time Considered)
Commutable from Leeds, York, Harrogate (own transport required)
