Established for over 19 years, EPH Creative is one of the UK’s leading event & theming suppliers. We have an ever-growing & impressive range of clients from well-known TV Shows, to Visitor Attractions, Corporate Clients, Weddings and Private Parties. We have a reputation for exceptional quality and care in the services and products we provide to our clients. From our HQ in Thorp Arch Wetherby, we supply props and theming to over 2,000 events & bespoke projects each year, manufactured in our state of the art Production Facility, and delivered Nationwide by our own logistics fleet.
As a result of company growth, we are now seeking an experienced Manager to head up our entire Warehouse Operation. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take overall responsibility for the day to day running of the warehouse.
Our Warehouse is an Aladdin’s cave of props, furniture and theming, totalling over 145,000 sq ft. With over 9,000 different unique products, most built by our in-house teams- our warehouse environment is unique. Within the warehouse are different specialist sub-sections – including Foliage, Soft Furnishings, AV & Electrical, Print and General Props.
You will be a confident and motivational leader with direct line management of approx. 20 team members. You will be adaptable in responding to a fast-paced working environment – the Events Industry is notoriously last-minute, so scheduling and prioritizing warehouse workload is a key responsibility. You will be capable of juggling multiple priorities, troubleshooting and maximizing efficiency. The role will involve planning and overseeing the picking teams, planning workload, scheduling resources, driving efficiencies, improving processes and championing the development of the warehouse team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly capable operations manager with exceptional people management skills to improve and develop the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Day to Day running of warehouse team
• Scheduling of staff to ensure optimal levels
• Task organization & delegation of jobs
• Ensuring the highest quality service levels are met for our clients
• Forward planning for seasonal peaks
• Management of fleet of materials handling equipment
• Ensuring all Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times
• Creation & implementation of improvement processes
• Facilities management
• Troubleshooting of day to day issues

Skills/attributes required

You will be a passionate people manager with a proven history of mentoring & developing your team. You will be committed to providing exceptional customer service levels at all times and will go the extra mile whenever required to meet client demand. You will have a commitment to ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety standards at all times, keeping accurate & up-to-date records of H&S Training and MHE service records. Having an exceptional eye for detail is essential, you should have the highest standards of quality to be demonstrated during pre-shipment inspections of product. You will be dedicated to driving the business forward and creating & implementing innovative solutions to organisational and technical issues. You should be IT literate and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and the ability to quickly pick up new systems.

• Ideally 5+ years of warehouse management experience, although other qualified candidates may be considered

Hours of work

You should have a flexible approach to your own schedule & be able to handle out of hours requests at certain times.
